Privacy Policy – Bramstun

Last updated: October 17, 2026

At Bramstun, we collect only the personal information we need to process your orders and serve you well. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights. It applies to bramstun.com, operated by Group Bark (which operates the Bramstun brand).

1. Person responsible for protecting personal information

The person responsible for protecting personal information is:
Alexandre
Email: info@bramstun.com
Business address: 1291, avenue Jules-Verne, local 001, L'Ancienne-Lorette (Québec) G2E 6L6

2. Information we collect

  • Information you provide: your name, shipping and billing addresses, email address, other contact information provided when ordering, the contents of your customer service messages, and, if you wish, information about your dog (such as neck circumference to help us recommend a size).
  • Order information: items purchased, amounts, order history, returns and exchanges.
  • Payment information: this is collected and processed directly by our payment provider. Bramstun does not have access to your full card number.
  • Technical information: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and interactions with the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 6).

3. Why we use it

  • To process, ship and track your orders;
  • To manage returns, exchanges, refunds and requests relating to defective products;
  • To answer your questions;
  • To prevent fraud and keep the site secure;
  • To meet our legal obligations (for example, tax requirements);
  • To improve the site and our products;
  • To measure the effectiveness of our advertising and show you relevant advertising on Meta platforms;
  • To send you newsletters and offers, only if you have consented (see section 7).

We do not use your information for other purposes without your consent, unless the law permits or requires it.

4. Who we share it with

Bramstun does not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who need it to help us serve you, and only the information necessary:

  • Our online commerce platform (Shopify), which hosts the site and order data;
  • Our carriers: Canada Post, Purolator and GLS;
  • Our payment provider: Shopify (Shopify Payments);
  • Our email and marketing tool: Klaviyo;
  • Our analytics and advertising tools: Meta (Meta Pixel and Conversions API).

These providers must protect your information and use it only for the services they provide to us. We may also disclose information when the law requires or permits it.

5. Disclosure outside Québec

Some of our providers, including Shopify, Klaviyo and Meta, may store or process your information outside Québec, including elsewhere in Canada and in the United States. Before entrusting information to them, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection. Your information may then be subject to the laws of those locations.

6. Cookies

The site uses cookies and similar technologies to operate (for example, to keep items in your cart), measure site traffic, and advertise on Meta platforms (Meta Pixel and Conversions API). You can manage or refuse cookies through your browser settings and, where available, through the site's consent tools. Blocking certain cookies may prevent some site features from working.

7. Newsletters and communications

We send promotional emails only if you have consented. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in each email or by writing to us. Even after unsubscribing, you will continue to receive emails relating to your orders (confirmation, shipping, returns).

8. Retention

We keep your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law (for example, for our accounting and tax records). It is then securely destroyed or anonymized.

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, such as limiting access to people who need it and using providers that encrypt payments. If a privacy incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as required by law.

10. Your rights

You may, at any time:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request that it be corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or ambiguous;
  • Withdraw your consent to certain uses, such as newsletters;
  • Request that your computerized information be provided to you in a structured, commonly used technological format;
  • Request that we cease disseminating information about you, in the circumstances provided by law.

To exercise your rights, write to the person responsible listed in section 1. We will respond in writing within 30 days of receiving your request. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information (www.cai.gouv.qc.ca).

11. Minors

The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14 without the consent of a parent or guardian.

12. Changes

We may update this policy, for example if our practices or the law change. The date of the latest update appears at the top of the page. If a significant change affects how we use your information, we will inform you on the site.
